How did Tacos become a craze in America?
Ancient Mexicans developed the Taco long before the Spanish arrived. In the early 1900s Mexican immigrants brought their cuisine to California, and food carts in LA started featuring ‘Tacos’- though they weren’t like the tacos of today. Tacos were cheap, portable, spicy, new, and delicious. As time went on Tacos evolved to attract more American buyers. Tacos began to include chicken, or beef, lettuce tomato, sour cream and salsa.
Taconatics? Absolutely! We have Taco Tuesdays, Street Tacos, Fancy tacos, and we have managed to fuse all kinds of foods, and combinations into these miraculous inventions.
