Motor City Bean Dip

Motor City is a nod to the great people of Michigan- where I grew up.   It is also a nod to my husband and the way he sounds after he has enjoyed a good portion of bean dip.  Chipotle white bean dip -Velvety white bean smoothness with coconut and a hint of chipotle smoke.  You will love this recipe.  Motor City Bean Dip is easy comfort food with just enough spice to keep you coming back for more.

Ingredients for Chipotle White Bean Dip

  • Cannellini beans (white beans)
  • Chipotle Pepper
  • Lemon
  • Garlic
  • Cumin
  • Paprika
  • Flat Leaf Parsley
  • Salt/ Pepper
  • Coconut Milk

White beans are a nutritional powerhouse.  ‘White beans’ or Cannellini Beans are packed with protein, about 17 grams of protein per one can of cooked beans.  That same can of white beans also features 11 grams of fiber, which is important for bowel health, lowering cholesterol, and weight management.  One cup of white beans also has 55% of the daily value of needed copper, and 36% of the body’s daily need for iron.  Copper and Iron help the body with vital functions, energy and focus.  Even better, white beans are low in fat.  There are only.6 grams of fat in 1 cup of white beans.

Equipment

  • Fppd Chopper

Materials

  • 1 can White Beans/ (Cannellini beans)
  • 1 tsp Chipotle Pepper Powder
  • 2 tbsp Lemon
  • 2 cloves Fresh Garlic
  • ½ tsp Cumin
  • ½ tsp Smoked Paprika
  • ¼ cup Densely packed Italian Flat-leaf Parsley
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Milk

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to the food processor
  • Chop/pulse until the ingredients are well-mixed
  • Place in serving dish
